FLAE

Friends of Los Alamitos Elementary is a partner entity here to support our school PTA and our Tigers. We are the primary fundraising organization for our school.

Ambassador Chair: Partner with our Ambassador teacher(s) to help support the needs for the Ambassador program. Check in monthly with them to see what they need and find ways to have the participating students help support FLAE and PTA throughout the year. Ambassadors is a leadership program for 5th grade students though this position is not limited to 5th grade parents.

Assembly Chair: Help find, schedule and book interactive and engaging assemblies to enrich our school. This position will work with the principal to approve assemblies and ensuring no scheduling conflicts.

4th Grade Representative: The 4th Grade Representative position is fulfilled by a 4th grade parent who intends to be the 5th Grade Activities Chair the following year. They will work alongside the 5th Grade Activities Chair as a shadow to have visibility to the position, the teacher communication and the activities involved.

Fit-A-Thon Chair: Lead for our Fit-A-Thon Fundraiser which is the largest one of the year. Fit-A-Thon runs through September and into October to start the school year off strong. Chair will assemble a committee to help with planning, executing and fulfillment of prizes for this 99Pledges fundraiser and event day.

Fundraising Chair: Organize fundraising opportunities within the community, such as Kona Ice, restaurant nights, Ralphs Community Rewards… etc.

Stem-A-Thon Chair: NEW THIS COMING YEAR! Stem-A-Thon is a 99pledges fundraiser with a STEM focused theme. This fundraiser will be held in April 2027 and have an estimate run time of about 2 weeks. Chair will assemble a committee to help with planning, executing and fulfillment of prizes. 

Spring Fling: This chair will take lead in facilitating our Spring adult-only dinner and auction fundraiser. Chair will assemble a committee to help with planning, booking, decorating, procuring auction items, and executing fulfillment of items. 

Yearbook: Yearbook chair is the Yearbook Squad lead and is responsible for assembling the LAE yearbook in the TreeRing website. Yearbook includes managing portraits from Picture Day, ensuring all students and staff are accounted for and all grades are represented, designing theme and layout for yearbook, procuring content throughout the school year, working with the 5th Grade Teachers for the Cover Contest
