As the Los Alamitos Elementary Parent Teacher Association, we strive to enhance our schools sense of community and spirit.

FLAE

Friends of Los Alamitos Elementary is a partner entity here to support our school PTA and our Tigers. We are the primary fundraising organization for our school.

LAE Ambassadors: Ambassadors is a leadership program for 5th grade students though this team is not limited to 5th grade parents. Partner with our Ambassador teacher(s) to help support the needs for the Ambassador program. Check in monthly with them to see what they need and find ways to have the participating students help support FLAE and PTA throughout the year.

Assemblies: Help find, schedule and book 4-5 interactive and engaging assemblies to enrich the school experience for our Tigers. Work with the principal to approve assemblies and to ensure no scheduling conflicts.

4th Grade Representative: The 4th Grade Representative position is fulfilled by a 4th grade parent who intends to run the 5th Grade Activities the following year. Throughout the year, shadow the 5th Grade Activities to have visibility to the teacher communication and the activities involved.

Fit-A-Thon: Be part of our Fit-A-Thon Committee which is the largest fundraiser of the year. Fit-A-Thon runs through September and into October to start the school year off strong. The committee will help with planning, executing and fulfillment of prizes for this 99Pledges fundraiser and event day.

FLAE Fundraising: Help organize fundraising opportunities within the community, such as Kona Ice, restaurant nights, Ralphs Community Rewards… etc. This is a great opportunity for someone who can’t be on campus often and has minimal time to offer, but still wants to make a big impact at LAE.

Stem-A-Thon: NEW THIS COMING YEAR! Stem-A-Thon is a 99pledges fundraiser with a STEM focused theme. This fundraiser will be held in April 2027 and have an estimate run time of about 2 weeks. Be part of our committee to help with planning, executing and fulfillment of prizes.

Spring Fling: Be part of the committee for our spring adult-only dinner and auction fundraiser. This committee to handles with planning, booking, decorating, procuring auction items, and executing fulfillment of items. 

Yearbook Squad: The Yearbook Squad is responsible for ensuring all students and staff are accounted for and all grades are represented in the school yearbook. Grade representatives within the squad will help assemble their grades pages and help with aquiring content throughout the school year to include on those pages. The yearbook is built using the TreeRing website.
